INDIANAPOLIS —
Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels and his wife will be dressing up as 1970s pop stars Sonny and Cher while handing out candy to trick-or-treaters at the governor’s residence.
The first lady’s office says staff members will join Mitch and Cheri Daniels in dressing as other music icons Wednesday evening.
Trick-or-treaters will receive candy from DeBrand Fine Chocolates of Fort Wayne, Endangered Species Chocolate of Indianapolis, Good’s Candy Shop of Anderson, Schimpff’s Confectionery of Jeffersonville and Zachary Confections of Frankfort. The Daniels will also give away gardening kits provided by INShape Indiana.
In previous years, the governor has dressed for Halloween as an Indy Racing League pit crew member and the Cowardly Lion.
The governor’s residence is along Meridian Street on the north side of Indianapolis.
