• The New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation has cancelled all evening events, including the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dinner at Northside Christian Church, due to the weather forecast. The dinner will be rescheduled at a later date.
• Greater Clark County Schools has canceled elementary and middle-school activities scheduled for this evening. High school practices will take place until 5 p.m. Parents or guardians with questions should contact their child’s school or the GCCS Administration Building at 812-283-0701.
• Clarksville Community Schools has announced that its elementary and middle-school basketball games have been canceled. Also, practices at both schools have been canceled.
• Ivy Tech Community College Southern Indiana is closing at 6 p.m. tonight due to weather. No decision has been made about any cancellations/delays for Friday, the school said via email.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Dragons earn first win since 1942
In a game that started Friday, Silver Creek completed a 44-12 victory over Eastern on Saturday at Pekin.
The win is the first since the Silver Creek football varsity program was re-established in 2010. It is the first football triumph at the school since 1942.

FOOTBALL UPDATE: Providence’s kickoff time moved up to 7 p.m.
Providence’s home football game tonight with Indian Creek became the third area contest that has had its kickoff time moved up because of the impending severe weather expected to hit Southern Indiana later this evening.
