GEORGETOWN —
The second annual chili cook-off and bake sale of the Georgetown Lions Club, will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 3, next to Magdalena’s at 1108 Copperfield Commons in Georgetown.
The cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for all-you-can-eat chili which includes hotdogs, drinks, and deserts.
The judging will be conducted by members of the Georgetown Fire Department. Homemade baked goodies will also be available.
Proceeds go back into projects that will impact the community, such as building handicap ramps for those in need, providing scholarships for graduating seniors, helping to pay for eye tests and glasses for someone who can’t afford them, gift baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and other projects. The Lions give free eye screening at schools, daycares, and health fairs.
