CLARK COUNTY —
The Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency and the Clark County Board of Commissioners seeks input from residents during an open house for the Clark County Thoroughfare Plan.
The plan will assist county planners in making decisions to address the transportation needs for next 20 years, according to a press release. It will assess the conditions of the existing transportation network, study alternatives to correct these issues and offer recommendations for implementation to assure Clark County has a transportation system that meets its future needs.
The plan is composed of: An analysis of the existing transportation infrastructure, documentation of areas with high crash histories and/or congestion, details for the existing nonvehicular modes of travel, such as trails and sidewalks and a summary of the existing transit service and planned transit service expansion.
A digital version of the report will be available for download off KIPDA’s website — kipda.org — beginning July 10, according to the release.
There will be an open house public meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. July 12 at the Jeffersonville Township Public Library, 211 Court Ave. in Jeffersonville.
For more information or questions, call Nick Batta with Bernardin, Lochmueller and Associates Inc., the project’s consultant, at 317-222-3880 or email him at nbatta@blainc.com.
