Charlestown Police Department Detective Chuck Ledbetter said the store is located in a strip mall and the store at the end of the strip is vacant. He said police believe the suspect broke into the vacant space by breaking out a window and then busted through a wall between the two stores.

Store security footage shows a male wearing a bandanna on his head, a grayish T-shirt with a royal blue design on the back, blue jeans and hiking or work boots. The suspect broke through a wall of the store and spent about 24 seconds grabbing merchandise from inside an adjacent display cabinet.

In addition to the video, investigators have been able to secure other evidence from the scene and are working to analyze it in conjunction with the investigation, according to a Charlestown Police press release.

Police are asking that anyone recognizing the individual in the video, or if someone may have witnessed the crime, to contact the Charlestown Police Department’s Anonymous Tip Line at 812-256-2473.
