CLARKSVILLE —
A Clarksville man succumbed to injuries he received after he was struck by a vehicle Tuesday.
Clarksville police said James Riddick, 48, died at U of L Hospital, where he was transported after he was hit in the 400 block of Eastern Boulevard about 9:15 p.m. Friday.
Riddick, who was staying at nearby America’s Best Inn, was walking on Eastern Boulevard when he was hit by a motorist driving a 2004 Ford Contour.
Clarksville police Chief Mark Palmer said a toxicology report was issued, which showed no impairing substances in Riddick’s system at the time of the incident.
Palmer also said no charges are being pursued against the driver of the car.
