LOUISVILLE —
A woman died and a man was injured after a crash on the Sherman Minton Bridge, according to a WLKY-TV report.
Louisville Metro Police said the couple's SUV ran out of gas and they were trying to fill it back up. Just after 7:30 p.m. Thursday, a Ford Explorer with a young couple inside stalled in the far right, westbound lane of the bridge, WLKY reported.
The man and woman were refueling the SUV, when police say a Chevy Malibu driven by a man his 30s hit them while trying to exit off the bridge. The couple was taken to University of Louisville Hospital where the woman died. Police said that her boyfriend was doing OK and no charges are expected to be filed.
The couple had only been dating about a week, WLKY reported, and the driver who hit them wasn't hurt.
