JEFFERSONVILLE —
WClark County Central Alarm confirmed that emergency medical services crews responded to a worker who was injured at the Amazon.com Inc. construction site Wednesday.
According to central alarm, crews responded to a call from the River Ridge Commerce Center property that a worker was injured in a fall at the construction site for the online retailer’s 1-million-square-foot distribution center off of Ind. 62 at 11:51 a.m.
Jeffersonville Fire Department Chief Eric Hedrick said the worker is believed to have fallen from a floor in the building. He added the worker was conscious when ambulance crews transported him to University of Louisville Hospital.
There was no official condition available on the person injured and the worker’s name has not been released.
