NEW ALBANY —
Authorities are searching for a missing New Albany man and his two young children.
Michael Mann, 34, his daughter, Macy Mann, 5, and his son, Madden Mann, 3, were last seen at Mann’s home about 10 p.m. Saturday, New Albany Police Maj. Keith Whitlow said.
Mann and the children were preparing to leave for his mother’s home in Versailles, Ky., but they never made it to their destination.
The children’s mother, who has an amicable relationship with Mann, Whitlow said, filed missing person reports early Monday morning.
Kentucky State Police located the white 2006 Kia van that Mann and the children were traveling in abandoned on Interstate 75 South near London, Ky., nearly 90 miles past Versailles.
Whitlow said the troopers found the van operational with the ignition key inside.
Mann is described as a white male, 6 feet 1 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with black hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, camouflage hat and shorts.
Macy was last reported wearing a skirt of unknown color and boots.
Madden was last seen with a red jacket, blue jeans and boots.
Any information about Michael Mann or the children should be reported to New Albany police at 948-5300.
