JEFFERSONVILLE —
The Jeffersonville Board of Public Works approved a road closure for Market Street related to the construction of the Big Four Bridge ramp.
A closure was approved from Monday through Wednesday for Market Street, between Mulberry and Pearl streets, to allow Gohmann Construction to put structural steel in place for the ramp. Assistant City Engineer Bill Dixon said Gohmann plans to open Market Street to traffic each evening during the planned closure to accommodate rush hour traffic.
Political campaign signs
Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore said with the election over, political signs throughout the city will be removed promptly.
“[There’s] very little leeway on how long we’re going to leave these things sitting up there,” he said. “I know it’s not the city’s responsibility, but I don’t want these things lingering out there.”
