A workshop intended for the disabled, the aging and their caregivers, sponsored by Hope Southern Indiana, will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Brown-Starks Neighborhood Place, corner of Bono and Graybrook Road, New Albany.

FMH Auxiliary holding book sale

The Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services Auxiliary will be hosting a fundraising “Books R Fun” sale from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, in the Paris Education Center at the hospital, located at 1850 State St.

 The sale will feature all kinds of books such as award winning children’s books, cook books, books on gardening and crafts, hobbies and novels, with prices below average retail. All proceeds from the sale go toward the many hospital projects of the Auxiliary.

Brain injury group to meet

The August meeting of the Southern Indiana Traumatic Brain Injury Foundation will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 16, in the Education Conference Room at Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital, 3401 Blackiston Blvd., New Albany.

All survivors, family, friends or anyone else that has an interest is invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. For more information call  502-819-2542.



CLARKSVILLE

Auditions open for ‘Frankenstein’

The Drama Studio, St. Genesius Theatre, 128 E. Bell Ave., Clarksville, will hold auditions for the thriller “Frankenstein” by Victor Gialanella from the novel by Mary Shelley. It is directed by John Campbell Finnegan.

Auditions will be at 6:30 p.m., today, Aug. 14, at the theatre.

Males and females from 16 to 65 can give cold readings from the script

Bring a headshot and resume.

Performance dates are Oct. 25-28 and rehearsals begin Sept. 17.
