BORDEN —
A Borden man was arrested Friday morning after neighbors complained that he was masturbating in front of an uncovered, ground-level window.
According to an Indiana State Police press release, neighbors called in the complaint Thursday, which alleged Darrell L. Stiller, 47, would stand in front of, or sit on a bed near an uncovered ground-level window in plain view, fondling and sexually stimulating himself. He was allegedly doing this on a regular basis in front of adults and children.
On Friday morning, an Indiana State Trooper was outside Stiller’s home and witnessed him engage in the acts neighbors had described, according to the release. When the trooper approached the home, Stiller refused to answer the door, but police kept surveillance on his home until he exited the residence and was taken into custody.
Stiller was arrested and charged with vicarious sexual gratification, a D felony; disseminating material harmful to a minor, a D felony; public indecency, an A misdemeanor; obscene performance, an A misdemeanor; and public nudity, a B misdemeanor.
The charges carry a maximum combined penalty of 8 1/2 years in prison and up to $31,000 in fines. Stiller is being held in Clark County jail.
