JEFFERSONVILLE —
Indiana Conservation Officers arrested an intoxicated boater Saturday afternoon on Hardy Lake after observing a boat speeding through an idle zone.
Indiana Conservation Officer Cpl. Andy Crozier and Officer Zack Walker were on routine patrol when they observed the speeding boat, according to a press release. The officers stopped the vessel and observed the operator holding an alcoholic beverage while operating the boat.
Marc E. Resseguie of Lexington, Ind., was arrested on suspicion of boating while intoxicated after he failed the field sobriety tests. Resseguie was taken to the Scott County Jail where he faces four charges, including BWI, refusal to submit to a chemical test, exceeding idle zone speed and operating a motorboat without a valid driver’s license, which is required to operate a boat in Indiana.
