JEFFERSONVILLE — Bev Knight, assistant superintendent of the Jeffersonville Parks Authority, was fired by the city Monday morning.
Mayor Tom Galligan confirmed the decision to let Knight go, but would not elaborate other than saying it was a reorganization decision and the city is exploring its options. A replacement for her position has not been named, but is being sought, said Parks Director Bob Manor.
Manor also said he could not discuss why Knight was let go.
Knight, was a lead organizer for RiverStage — the city’s entertainment barge on the Ohio River — which features concerts, movies and plays.
Entertainment events have already been booked through the summer.
There is not a listing in the phone book for Knight’s Jeffersonville residence and she could not be reached for comment.
