‘Art-Tiques’ coming this weekend
RiverWalk Art-Tiques Show featuring arts, crafts and antiques will be from 10 a.m. to dusk Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, along Spring Street and on Riverside Drive in downtown Jeffersonville.
Food will be provided by Kingpin’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que and music entertainment will be on the RiverStage both days.

Parks seeking teams for sports
The Jeffersonville Parks and Recreation Department is seeking teams for fall men’s and women’s basketball and a co-ed volleyball league, each of which will compete at Nachand Fieldhouse, 601 E. Court Ave., Jeffersonville.
The competitive men’s basketball league will play games Tuesdays or Thursdays, with play beginning Sept. 16. The league will consist of 10 games and a single-elimination tournament. Registration fee is $400 per team and the registration deadline is Monday. The first 16 teams to register and pay their entry fee will be guaranteed spots in the league.
The competitive women’s basketball league will play games Wednesdays, with play beginning Sept. 29. The league will consist of eight games and a single-elimination tournament. Registration fee is $325 per team and the registration deadline is Sept. 27. The league is limited to the first eight teams that register and pay their entry fee.
The competitive co-ed volleyball league will play its games Mondays, with play beginning Sept. 27. Each team is guaranteed 10 matches, plus a single-elimination tournament. Registration fee is $250 per team, with a registration deadline of Sept. 20. The league is limited to the first eight teams that register and pay their entry fee.
Participants in all three leagues must be at least 18 years old and out of high school. Registration forms and fees may be turned in at the Nachand Fieldhouse or the Parks and Recreation Office, Suite 212, City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Court.

First Christian hosting Fall Fun Fest
First Christian Church invites the community to its second-annual Fall Fun Fest from noon to 7 p.m. Oct. 2 at the church, 3209 Middle Road, Jeffersonville, near Dairy Queen.
The Fest will feature from 4 to 7 p.m., the “best chicken and dumpling dinner in Indiana,” a car show, arts and craft booths, country store, entertaining games and activities for children of all ages, the Sunnyside Balloon, and from 2 to 4 p.m., the Hidden Treasure Antique Appraisal Show — bring a treasure and for $5 see what it is worth.
This fun-filled event will be a time for the church and community to come together to celebrate combined accomplishments as well as a way for the church to raise funds to continue outreach in the Southern Indiana community.

Scout night is tonight
Boy Scouts of America Pack 4043 is welcoming the public to learn about scouting at the local Scout Night at 6:30 p.m. today at Utica Elementary School, 210 Maplehurst Drive, Jeffersonville.
The event is open to anyone in the area who would like to get information on Cub Scouts, which covers boys in first through fifth grades. Basic information will be provided on scouting, dues, uniforms, schedule of meetings and events.
The program helps parents and educators reinforce the necessary learning to lead an active and productive life in the community. Activities emphasize character development, citizenship training and personal fitness. More on the Scout Oath and Law can be found at www.pack4043.org

Chicken Chase scheduled for Sept. 18
The annual Henryville Chicken Chase, a 4-mile run/walk, begins at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 18 at Clark State Forest, U.S. 31, Henryville.
Registration will be at 8 a.m. Proceeds from the race benefit the Henryville Dollars for Scholars scholarship fund. Cost for early registration is $15 for adults and $10 for youth 15 and under; late registration — after Sept. 4 — is $20 for all ages.

Providence class of 1975 to reunite
The Providence High School class of 1975 will be having its 35-year reunion weekend beginning at 6 p.m. Sept. 17 at The Pirates Cove in Charlestown.
The main event will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 at Buckhead Mountain Grill in Jeffersonville. In addition, the class will have a 4th Day Celebration with the Rev. Dan Atkins at Tucker’s American Favorites in New Albany at 1 p.m. Sept. 19.
