CLARKSVILLE —
Police have identified the man found dead Saturday in Lapping Park.
John Phillip Stensrud, 46, went missing from his brother’s home New Year’s Eve and was discovered about 6 p.m. Saturday by a person collecting golf balls in a wooded area of the park, according to the Clarksville Police Department.
The department confirmed Stensrud’s identity Monday via press release.
On Sunday, police said on the body was personal effects believed to belong to Stensrud. He was considered a danger to himself due to emotional and psychiatric problems.
