CLARKSVILLE —
Clarksville Police Department officers arrested two women after responding to a possible fight call about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Beckett and State streets.
After speaking with some of the people gathered, officers were alerted of two women in the area, one of whom was believed to be wanted by police and both known to be in possession of drugs, according to statements made in the police report.
Police then spoke with the women, Brittany Fernandez, 27, and Dawn Shofner, 28, both of Clarksville.
Police reported Fernandez was found in possession of several syringes and a burnt spoon containing heroin located in a small makeup bag.
Fernandez was preliminarily charged with possession of heroin, a class B felony, possession of a syringe, a class D felony, and possession of paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor.
Shofner was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued in Clark County for failure to appear.
