CLARKSVILLE —
Clarksville Police Department officers responded to Kopp Lane Food Mart at 607 Kopp Lane early Monday morning after an unknown person broke a front window of the business.
Officers arrived about 1:15 a.m. and met with a store employee who had arrived at the store.
Police reviewed the surveillance video and saw a person, whose race or sex could not be discerned, come from around the side of the building carrying an object that was used to smash the window twice before running off.
Officers reported their presumption that the alarm scared the would-be burglar away.
The store employee did not report any stolen property, and police reported that it appeared the offender did not enter the business.
Anyone with information on the break-in should call CPD at 812-288-7151.
