EDITOR'S NOTE UPDATE: Finch was arrested April 2 thanks to a tip from a reader of Most Wanted.

Only one person is on Indiana State Police Sellersburg Post’s “Most Wanted” list, but this person allegedly has a long history of gaining people’s trust and then violating it by committing fraud against them, police say.

Guy Finch, 48, is a fugitive on six class C felony forgery warrants out of Clark County Superior Court No. 3, according to court records.

ISP Detective David Makowsky said Finch is a truck driver who used to be based in the Southern Indiana area.

Finch allegedly made a business deal with a man who loaned him cash to rent trucks to make deliveries, according to a probable-cause affidavit. In July, Finch purportedly paid the man back with counterfeit checks in the amounts of $5,600, $5,520, $5,500, $4,000, $3,215 and $1,550, records say.

Finch was arrested in Arkansas on an unrelated charge, but because of communication issues, he was not extradited to Indiana, Makowsky said.

“[Finch] never would come in for an interview,” Makowsky said. “He has stayed one step ahead of us since last year.”
