Republican Party vice-presidential hopeful Gov. Sarah Palin will be in Jeffersonville on Wednesday afternoon, less than a week before Election Day.
Palin, Alaska’s governor, will appear with guest country singer Hank Williams Jr., at 6:30 p.m. at Capstone Realty Inc., 100 River Ridge Circle. Doors open at 4:30 for the program and tickets are available at county GOP headquarters in Clark, Floyd and other counties.
Palin is running with presidential hopeful, Arizona Sen. John McCain against the Democratic Party ticket of Illinois Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware.
Ticket requests can be made by visiting johnmccain.com and picked up at party headquarters, but tickets are not guaranteed.
The addresses of the local GOP headquarters are:
• Clark County — 1444 Horn St., Suite B, Clarksville; open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
• Floyd County — 204 Pearl St., New Albany; open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
