An Sellersburg man was injured in Carroll County, Kentucky, when he lost control of the commercial tractor-trailer he was driving north on Interstate 71, according to an article in The Madison Courier.
Matt Reynolds, 36, was extricated from the tractor-trailer by Carroll County Fire and Rescue and transported to University Hospital in Louisville on Saturday by the Carroll County EMS, said Kentucky State Police Capt. Dean Hayes.
He was listed in fair condition Monday afternoon.
Hayes said Reynolds drove his vehicle off the roadway to the right and went through a guardrail and down an embankment. The truck overturned and came to rest upright on Ky. 2997.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by KSP Trooper Michael Webb. Hayes said Reynolds was not wearing a seat belt.
Kentucky 2997 was closed Saturday as crews worked to recover cargo from the vehicle, dry concrete, clear the roadway and remove the vehicle from the scene of the accident.
