An Indiana University student has reported to police he was sexually assaulted in a dorm room.
The IU police department received the report Sunday. The victim said the attack happened at 3:15 p.m. Oct. 20 in his residence hall room, according to an IUPD news release.
To protect the victim's identity, police are not releasing the name of the dorm, but did say it is in the southeast portion of campus.
The victim told police he first met the suspect in the Food Court of Wright Residence Hall about three weeks before the assault. The victim said he had seen this man in the food court on earlier occasions.
On the day of the attack, the suspect asked if the victim wanted to go to the victim's room to play video games, according to police. The sexual assault happened while the two men were in the room.
The victim went to Bloomington Hospital, according to the news release.
The suspect is described as a dark-skinned white man, between 21 and 23 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 215 pounds, with acne, curly brown hair approximately 3 inches long, brown eyes, a “pinched” nose, long facial stubble, and wearing a gold ring on his right hand possibly with the initials “WHS.” His name is possibly Dylan.
This is the second sexual assault in which a man was attacked reported to IU police this month. A 21-year-old student reported he was sexually assaulted Oct. 11 in a car parked on campus.
