Regional Youth Services — a nonprofit, accredited foster placement and support services agency serving 15 counties in Southern Indiana — recently received a Community Relief Fund grant of $11,567 from a partnership among the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana, The Paul Ogle Foundation and the Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County.

The three funders united to give grants to organizations that assist people with basic needs of health care, food, shelter and clothing.

Regional Youth Services will use the funds for emergency assistance to families in its Home-Based Services program that works with children and parents before foster placement may be needed. The money will help families overcome financial difficulties that could hamper them from staying together, a press release says.
