JEFFERSONVILLE —
The city of Jeffersonville has announced several cancellations due to the excessive heat and the Fourth of July holiday.
The Anchors Aweigh YMCA Fit Kids program and the seniors fitness programs scheduled for 9 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Saturday, June 30, on Jeffersonville’s RiverStage have been canceled due to the hot weather.
Fitness programming will resume on Monday night with Jazzercise at 6 p.m. There will be no class on Tuesday or Wednesday due to the holiday, according to a press release.
Tonight’s (Friday’s) concert at 7:30 p.m. in Warder Park featuring the Early Autumn Big Band has been canceled, according to Jeffersonville Communications Director Leah Farris.
The Jeff Main Street Historic Jeffersonville Walking Tour scheduled for this evening will still take place. Jeffersonville RiverStage events for Friday and Saturday evening will also continue as planned.
The continuation of the Jeffersonville’s heat relief efforts will also be re-evaluated Monday.
Fourth of July changes
The Jeffersonville Board of Public Works will meet at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, in the Mayor’s Conference Room instead of it’s regular meeting day Wednesday.
There will be no trash service Wednesday due to the holiday. Service is scheduled for Thursday, July 5.
