LOUISVILLE — A 27-year-old Sellersburg woman has been identified as the victim of a Thursday accident on the Sherman Minton Bridge in New Albany.

The Jefferson County, Ky., Coroner’s Office says Krista Hagedorn sustained multiple injuries after being struck by a passing vehicle as she and her boyfriend, Russell Sholl, of New Albany, were attempting to refuel their sport utility vehicle which had run out of gas as they were crossing the bridge. The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m., according to Louisville Metro Police.

Hagedorn and Sholl were taken to University of Louisville Hospital where Hagedorn died. Sholl is out of the hospital.
