> SOUTHERN INDIANA —
The details of the 9th District U.S. House debate to be held in Harrison County have been released.
Incumbent Republican Todd Young will debate with Democratic challenger Shelli Yoder from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Corydon Central High School auditorium.
The debate is open to the community, but seating will be limited. Tickets can be obtained through both campaigns. Young’s campaign can be reached at 765-480-2508, and Yoder’s at 832-687-6969.
Though Yoder pushed for more forums, this will be one of only two debates in the 9th District race, and again neither Floyd or Clark counties will be a host. The other debate will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Franklin College in Johnson County.
The Harrison County debate is being hosted by O’Bannon Publishing Co. and its newspaper The Corydon Democrat. The debate will be streamed live online at corydondemocrat.com.
Corydon Central English teacher Kevin Trobaugh will serve as moderator of the debate.
