JEFFERSONVILLE —
Jeffersonville police are looking for a suspect involved in the armed robbery of CVS pharmacy early Friday morning.
Jeffersonville Police Department Detective Isaac Parker said at least one person was involved in the 3 a.m. robbery of the business located at the corner of Spring and 10th streets. No shots were fired during the robbery, but the suspect, described as a male with a stocky build, did show a handgun.
Parker said additional suspects may have been involved.
An undisclosed amount of cash and a carton of cigarettes were stolen during the incident, Parker said.
The suspect entered the store with his shirt pulled over his face, apparently to hide his identity. Parker said the suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
Police did not disclose if the suspect arrived or left the store on foot or a vehicle.
It is also remains unclear how many people were in the business when the suspect committed the robbery.
Parker declined to say what demands may have been made by the suspect, as money was taken from a cash register.
The investigation is ongoing, Parker said. Anyone with information should call JPD at 812-218-TIPS.
