Residents have until Feb. 19 to fill out paperwork

One Indiana U.S. Senate seat; all U.S. House of Representatives seats; 25 State Senate seats; all State House of Representative seats; the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney’s office; The Clark County Sheriff’s Department; Clark County clerk, auditor, recorder, treasurer, coroner, surveyor, assessor, one commissioner and two county council seats are among those up for grabs in the May 4 primary and Nov. 2 general election, as well as several school board seats.

The deadline for candidates to register is 12 p.m. Feb. 19. Filings, as of Friday afternoon, for local races were:

COUNTY RACES

• Clark County Clerk: Incumbent Barbara Bratcher-Haas, Democrat.

• Clark County Assessor: Incumbent Vicky Kent-Haire, Democrat.

• Clark County Auditor: Challenger Mike Hall, Democrat.

• Clark County Recorder: Incumbent Dick Jones, Democrat.

• Clark County Treasurer: Incumbent Janet Hurst, Democrat.

• Clark County Sheriff: Incumbent Danny Rodden, Democrat.

• Clark County Surveyor: Challenger David Blankenbeker, Democrat.

• Clark County Commissioner District 3: Incumbent Mike Moore and challengers John Perkins and John “Jack” Leuthart, all Democrats.

• Clark County Council District 1: Incumbent Barbara Hollis, Democrat.

• Clark County Council District 2: Incumbent Jackie Dickman, Democrat and challengers Dana Culpepper Cooper, Democrat, Brian Lenfert, Republican and Scotty McDonald, Democrat.

• Clark County Council District 4: Incumbent David Abbott, Democrat and challenger Steve Doherty, Republican.

SCHOOL BOARD RACES

• Greater Clark County School Board District 1: Challenger Kevin Satterly.

• Greater Clark County School Board District 3: Incumbent Melissa DeArk and challenger Mark Pavey.

• Greater Clark County School Board District 4: Challenger Nancy Kraft.

• West Clark Community School Board District 1: Incumbent Brian Hurst.

• West Clark Community School Board District 2: Incumbent Teresa Guthrie.

• West Clark Community School Board District 3: Incumbent Douglas Coffman and challenger Celia Winters.

TOWNSHIP RACES

• Carr Township Trustee: Incumbent Donna Graf Jackson, Democrat.

• Charlestown Township Trustee: Incumbent Ernie Thompson, Democrat.

• Jeffersonville Township Trustee: Incumbent Dale Popp, Democrat.

• Owen Township Trustee: Incumbent Leroy Graebe, Democrat.

• Silver Creek Township Trustee: Incumbent Bill Ramser, Democrat.

• Union Township Trustee: Incumbent Greg Alexander, Republican.

• Utica Township Trustee: Incumbent Robert DeArk, Democrat.
