JEFFERSONVILLE —
The third-annual Running of the Goldfish will take place Saturday at the Jeffersonville Aquatic Center.
The water in the kiddie pool will be dechlorinated and filled with hundreds of goldfish. Each child will be given a plastic cup and, at the sound of the whistle, will have 10 minutes to catch a goldfish in their cup to take home as a reminder of all the fun they had this summer at the Jeffersonville Aquatic Center. The event is for children 10 and younger with a cost of $2 per child and a limit of five fish per participant. Nets are not allowed.
The Running of the Goldfish will be conducted in age groups, with kids 3 and younger beginning at 10 a.m.
• Also Saturday, the Jeffersonville Aquatic Center will hold its annual Pooch Plunge. From noon to 3 p.m. dogs will be allowed in the aquatic center at a cost of $4 for the first two dogs, and $1 for each additional dog with proof of vaccination. Sociable dogs only.
