NEW ALBANY —
A New Albany man is facing a felony charge for allegedly exposing himself in the view of children at a daycare center on Wednesday.
New Albany Police Department Sgt. Todd Bailey said Joseph D. Bartley II, 20, was in his residence in the 2700 block of Edgewood Drive, which is adjacent to Malysz-Norwood Daycare Center, masturbating in front of a window in plain view of adults and children at the facility.
Bartley was charged with class D felony performing sexual conduct in the presence of a minor. At a hearing on Friday, he was granted pre-trial release from jail, but Floyd County Superior Court No. 3 Judge Maria Granger issued a no contact order protecting the daycare center.
Bartley faces six months to three years in jail and up to a $10,000 fine if convicted.
