JEFFERSONVILLE —
Wine Walk & Shop will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight in downtown Jeffersonville.
Jeffersonville Main Street Inc., a nonprofit downtown revitalization organization, and downtown merchants are hosting the third-annual event, which features 11 wine tasting stations located within downtown shops, local artisans, a variety of hors d’oeuvres, eight live musical acts and special sales at the shops. Several area wineries will be on hand to offer wine tastings and sell wine by the bottle.
Tickets are $15 and available for sale online at www.JeffMainStreet.org and at these shops: Choices/CCF, 437 Spring St.; Lavender Hill, 360 Spring St.; and The Springs Salon & Spa, 234 Spring St. Tickets also may be purchased for $20 at the registration tent at Spring and Chestnut street starting at 5:45 p.m. The registration area will be located inside the Glossbrenner Garden.
Online ticket-purchasers should present their PayPal receipt along with their ID the evening of the event. Each participant must show identification before receiving a glass and be at least 21 years of age. One person cannot pick up glasses for others. Each participant will have a wristband attached as proof of legal drinking age by a Wine Walk and Shop representative. Wine must be consumed within the business responsible for pouring. Drinking outside the premises is prohibited by law.
Participating wineries include: Chateau de Pique Winery, Seymour; Chateau Thomas Winery, Plainfield; Easley Winery, Indianapolis; Grateful Goat Vineyard & Winery, Palmyra; Scout Mountain Winery, Corydon; and Turtle Run Winery, Corydon.
