Football-to-wrestling transition camp
The Warrior Wrestling Club and Providence Football 2012 Football to Wrestling Camp will be Nov. 8-9 at Providence High School. Campers will meet each day from 6:30-8 p.m. Registration will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8 at Providence.
The camp is open to children from age 4 to the sixth grade. Cost is $12, which includes a T-shirt.

Silver Creek-C’town game rescheduled
The Silver Creek at Charlestown boys’ basketball game, originally set for Saturday, Nov. 24, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 11. The change is because of the Charlestown football team advancing in the state tournament.

SC’s Jamros honorable-mention pick for Academic All-State team
Silver Creek High School girls’ soccer player Kira Jamros has been named as an honorable-mention selection to the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association Academic All-State team for the 2012 season.

Clarksville player to play in All-Star matches
Clarksville junior Ali Sparkman has been selected to play in two different All-Star volleyball matches.
Sparkman will play in the Indiana Elite Class All-Star Challenge on Sunday, Nov. 11 at Southmont High School in Crawfordsville on the Class 2A South junior team. The game will start at 3 p.m. and it is recommended people should arrive at 1:45 p.m. for the match.
Sparkman also will play in the East West High School Volleyball All-Star Games on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Munciana Volleyball Complex in Muncie.

Henryville Youth Sports elections set for Nov. 13
Henryville Youth Sports will hold its executive board elections at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at the Henryville Community Center. Nominees submitted their names for election to eight positions.
Those running are Jon Banet, general manager (one-year term); Christy Alexander, treasurer; Heather McNames, concession coordinator; Lisa Reynolds, fundraising coordinator (one-year term); Dave Badger, baseball facilities manager; Mark Curts, baseball coordinator; Brent Paris, football coordinator; and Phil Granger, softball coordinator.
