New Albany HOF meet-and-greet
Jimmy Rogers is hosting a “meet and greet” for three 2012 New Albany High Schol Hall of Fame inductees: Kenny Head, Tom “Bucky” Landgraf and Paul Poff.
The event will be hold on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. at Sam’s Tavern on Payne Kohler/Charlestown Road.
All three inductees were outstanding athletes at NAHS and went on to greater fame in college.

Grenadiers knock off Campbellsville
The IU Southeast volleyball team snapped Campbellsville’s four-match winning streak on Thursday night at the Southeast Activities Building, winning 25-21, 21-25, 25-16, 20-25, 15-11.
Three Grenadiers set new career-highs for single-match kills. Sara Schum spiked 19 kills, Silver Creek graduate Lindsey Maymon had 13 and P.J. Cockerell smacked nine. IU Southeast’s Meaghen Tompkins added 52 assists.
Schum helped set the tone of the match early with six kills in the first set, while Maymon added four.
In the third set, Schum (five kills) and Coral Maybrier (four) led the offense with nine combined kills as the Grenadiers won by nine points.
In the final set, Maybrier helped the Grenadiers maintain a comfortable lead with three kills in the final frame. New Albany graduate Emily Knight secured the win with her third service ace of the match.
The Grenadiers (11-9) head to Union (Ky.) College today to take on Union and Georgetown (Ky.).

IU Southeast to host KIAC Final Fours
The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced that IU Southeast will serve as the host site of the semifinals and championship rounds of the 2013 KIAC men’s and women’s basketball tournaments.
The tournaments will take place from Feb. 21-26.
“We are very excited to host the semifinals and championship games of the KIAC men’s and women’s basketball tournaments,” IU Southeast athletic director Joe Glover said. “This is a great event and we are glad to bring the tournaments back to our local Southern Indiana community. We hope our community will embrace this event. There is no doubt these tournaments will help add to our rich basketball tradition in the state of Indiana.”
The tournament dates are listed below:
• Tuesday, Feb. 21: play-in game between the two lowest-seeded teams (at campus sites).
• Thursday, Feb. 23: first-round games at higher seeds (at campus sites).
• Saturday, Feb. 25: semifinals at IU Southeast (four games).
• Sunday, Feb. 26: championship games (two games).
IU Southeast last hosted the KIAC men’s and women’s basketball tournaments in 2006. More information about game times, ticket prices and sponsorship information will be released at a later date.
