Camm hearing postponed indefinitely

A hearing for a motion to correct errors alleged to have occurred in the second murder trial of David Camm has been postponed.

Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson said Camm’s defense asked for a continuance for the Warrick County hearing, which was scheduled for today, because transcripts requested from the trial’s jury selection weren’t yet available and likely wouldn’t be until sometime in September, Henderson said.

After being found guilty for a second time in March, Camm was sentenced to life without parole for the Sept. 28, 2000, shooting deaths of his wife, Kim, and their children, 5-year-old Jill and 7-year-old Brad. The family was murdered in the garage of their Georgetown home

Camm’s defense filed the motion to correct errors based on an alleged error in jury selection and because the state entered evidence alleging Camm molested his 5-year-old daughter.

Henderson said he “presumed” the judge will deny the motion. A new date for the hearing has not yet been set.
