TRIBUNE CHEERS & JEERS: Feb. 17, 2010

CHEERS

... to Tribune editorial staffers and others that braved the wintery conditions last week and this week to get to the office and around town to document and inform our readers.

—Tribune publisher Steve Kozarovich

... to the local U.S. Postal carriers for delivering mail in the snow and, in her case, on time each day.

— Tribune reader Linda Leonhardt, New Albany

JEERS

... to truckers and travelers that don’t completely clean off the tops of their vehicles, especially before they get on a highway. I’m sure it’s very difficult especially for drivers of tractor trailers but loose chunks of snow and ice are hazardous and could easily add to already poor driving conditions. Anyone who has had shards or ice fly at their windshield this week while going highway speeds should know what I mean.

— Tribune publisher Steve Kozarovich
