1) WHAT IS YOUR PRIMARY REASON FOR SEEKING THIS POSITION?
“I want to bring fiscal responsibility to the Town board. I’m tired of going to town meetings and hearing the results of what I consider wasteful spending on big ticket items that do little to benefit the common citizen. I live on a budget and I want the Town to also stay on a fixed budget.
“Money has been spent on land purchases, internet service, consulting fees while our sidewalks crumble, our water lines leak and our town citizens have their rates raised to offset the current board’s wasteful spending.”

2) IF ELECTED, WHICH ISSUE IS YOUR PRIORITY TO ADDRESS FIRST AND WHAT IS YOUR SUGGESTED SOLUTION?
“My first priority is to listen to the citizens of Georgetown concerning the most prudent way to handle the rising cost of our water/sewer issues.
“There isn’t a current board member that is serving or running for office that has any expertise in water and sewage maintenance. After listening to the citizens of Georgetown I would consult an expert in the water/sewage field to get their professional opinion on how to fix this out of control situation.”

3) WHAT SPECIFICALLY DISTINGUISHES YOU FROM YOUR OPPONENT IN THIS RACE?
“I want to focus on principles and not on people. I’m the candidate with advanced education and experience. I have written grants for over $3 million dollars when I was Executive Director of Our Place/Drug Alcohol. I have experience working with local, state and federal agencies. I have trained agencies in how to set short and long term goals.
“I want to organize a clean up Georgetown campaign to impress the housing conditions in town. This campaign will also raise people’s property values by condemning homes that don’t meet safety standards. The town’s aesthetics have deteriorated under my opponent’s term in office.”
