WHY ARE YOU RUNNING FOR THIS OFFICE?: I enjoy serving the people of Clark County. I care what happens in our government that could help people in their life.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS WOULD YOU BRING TO THIS OFFICE?: I have been a County Councilman for two terms, president four years of those eight years.
WHAT IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE FACING THIS OFFICE AND HOW WOULD YOU ADDRESS IT IF ELECTED? Budget, working with office holders to balance the county budget each year. I work well with them.
HOW DO YOU PLAN TO MANAGE THE COUNTY’S EXPENSES ON THE BUDGETS BEING APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE? Office holders turn in their budget to the council. Our job is to cut if needed to make it work.
DO YOU THINK IT IS NECESSARY TO INCREASE THE COUNTY’S REVENUE? IF SO, WHAT ARE SOME OPTIONS FOR RAISING THE REVENUE THE COUNTY IS BRINGING IN? No. The office holders have done a good job keeping their budget low. I will not vote for a increase.
ARE YOU IN FAVOR OF MANDATES IF THE COUNTY IS UNABLE TO COVER ITS EXPENSES AGAIN? WHY OR WHY NOT? The judges have to work with them on their budget. If not, they can mandate. The County Council has no say on a mandate. I thinks we can stand on our own two feet without mandates. I am not in favor of mandates.
