WHY ARE YOU RUNNING FOR THIS OFFICE?:  Giving back to the community. Enjoy people, want to build on my knowledge of county government. Try to get county government back in good standing financially.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS WOULD YOU BRING TO THIS OFFICE?: My 3 plus years on the council have been a learning experience. I want to put into action my experience.

WHAT IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE FACING THIS OFFICE AND HOW WOULD YOU ADDRESS IT IF ELECTED?: Budget issues. Keep working hard to correct short falls by making the county more efficient.

HOW DO YOU PLAN TO MANAGE THE COUNTY’S EXPENSES ON THE BUDGETS BEING APPROVED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE? We likely will have to cut spending by some offices to make ends meet this year. Its possible we will have it on the current budget.

DO YOU THINK IT IS NECESSARY TO INCREASE THE COUNTY’S REVENUE? IF SO, WHAT ARE SOME OPTIONS FOR RAISING THE REVENUE THE COUNTY IS BRINGING IN? We need  to get back the original tax levy that we had prior to my election to this office. I see no options at this time to raise revenue. Its unlikely our tax levy will return to its original amount.

ARE YOU IN FAVOR OF MANDATES IF THE COUNTY IS UNABLE TO COVER  ITS EXPENSES AGAIN? WHY OR WHY NOT? We had no choice in 2011 other than the mandates. This year looks better. Hopefully, no mandates will be needed.
