It's a Peeps diorama contest! Join and win

Embrace the marshmallow medium

1. Think of a scene and sketch some ideas.

2. Buy the appropriate number of Peeps.

3. Make your diorama using a shoebox or comparable item. If you don’t know how to make a diorama — or what the word means — Google “how to make a diorama.”

4. Dress your Peeps as you see fit. Give them construction paper clothes, toothpick arms, toy props, etc.

How to submit your entry

Take photos of your completed diorama from several angles. Send two of your best photos:

• BY E-MAIL: As high-resolution JPEG attachments (do not embed them in the e-mail) to newsroom@newsandtribune.com. Put “Peeps Contest” in the subject line of the e-mail. Within the text of the e-mail include your name, phone number, home town, the title of the diorama and any necessary information about the diorama.

• BY MAIL: Send two original photos and your name, phone number, home town, the title of the diorama and any necessary information about the diorama to The Tribune, Attn: Newsroom/Peeps Contest, 303 Scribner Drive, New Albany, IN 47150.

Deadline and prizes

Submissions are due by noon April 6. We will run photos of our favorite dioramas on Easter Sunday, April 12. First place winners will receive a new Lenox China Peeps item, as well as a selection of Peeps candy. Second place will receive a Just Born gift box filled with Peeps luggage tags, key rings and a small, plush Peeps toy. In addition, Peeps, Mike and Ike, Hot Tamales and Peanut Chew brand candies will be included.
