JEFFERSONVILLE —
Jeffersonville will kick-off the holiday season Dec. 1 with a host of special events.
A cookie stroll will begin at 3 p.m. on Spring Street downtown with holiday treats provided by Jeffersonville merchants.
The Light Up the Holiday Parade featuring Santa will begin at 5 p.m. on Spring Street and will travel north to Seventh Street at Warder Park.
Immediately following the parade, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Light Up Jeffersonville will be hosted in Warder Park were the illumination of the twinkle lights will transform the park into a holiday wonderland. There will also be plenty of festive music, plus dancing and refreshments.
Mayor Mike Moore will be on hand to welcome Santa Claus, who will arrive in grand style on his sleigh, plus there will be free rides on Jeffersonville’s trolleys to the outdoor ice rink at the corner of Spring and Market streets.
