> SOUTHERN INDIANA — The sky outside Kye’s in Jeffersonville will be punctuated with search lights and a hot air balloon on Derby Eve, while inside the beat of renowned music and a festive spirit will create the backdrop for partygoers at Clark Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Derby Eve Triumph Gala on Friday, May 4.

The event — Republic Bank Candy Buffet, delectable foods, delivery of White Castles at midnight, signature pink cocktails, photos on the pink carpet, and a silent auction of items, some from Hollywood notables — will benefit women’s health efforts at the hospital.

Tickets are still available for the gala that begins at 7:30 p.m., with a VIP Pre-Event beginning at 6:30 for sponsors and their guests following the running of The Oaks at Churchill Downs. Those arriving from the track for the VIP Pre-Event may freshen up in a complimentary Glam Suite featuring professionals from Clinique and Tranz4mationz Hair Salon with goodie bags for the ladies.

Radio host Jesse Rasmussen of the weekday Lambert & Lindsey Show on 102.3/The Max will serve as emcee. Music by Jamey Aebersold Jazz in the Jazz Lounge/Piano Bar on one side and 100% Poly’s “funky disco band” of ‘70’s and ‘80’s favorites on the other will surround the expected 400 guests in the atmosphere associated the world over with the famous weekend.
