Let the games begin

JEFFERSONVILLE — The 26th Senior Games began yesterday and will continue through June 8.

SENIOR GAMES SCHEDULE

The 2012 Senior Games will continue through June 8 at various locations throughout  Southern Indiana. Here’s the schedule of games:



FRIDAY, JUNE 1

• 8-BALL COMPETITION: 9 a.m. to noon at Hoosier Lanes, 2310 State St., in New Albany

• BASKETBALL TOSS: 1 to 3 p.m. at the Floyd County YMCA , 33 State St., in New Albany



MONDAY, JUNE 4

• FISHING: 7:45 to 11 a.m. at Sam Peden Community Park in New Albany

• GOLF: 7:30 to 11 a.m. at Cherry Valley Par 3, 600 Cherry St. in New Albany

• HORSESHOES: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Sam Peden Community Park in New Albany



TUESDAY, JUNE 5

• MINIATURE GOLF: 8 a.m. to noon at Golf Shores, 2510 Landmark Way in Corydon

• TOSS ‘EM: 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Southern Indiana Rehab, 3104 Blackiston Mill Road, in New Albany

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6

• BOWLING: 9 a.m. to noon at Hoosier Lanes, 2310 State St. in New Albany

9 AND 4 LAP WALKS: 1 to 3 p.m. at Southern Indiana Sports Complex, 620 Park East Blvd., in New Albany



THURSDAY, JUNE 7

• SENIOR SQUABBLE: 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at Providence High School theater, 707 Providence Way in Clarksville

• CARDS AND CHECKERS: 12:30 t 3:30 p.m., at Tri-County Shrine Club, Potters Lane in Clarksville



FRIDAY, JUNE 8

• CLOSING CEREMONIES: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Trinity United Methodist Church, 2796 Charlestown Road in New Albany
