Floyd Memorial Hospital Auxiliary decided that one way to beat this heat Wedneday was to bring in some homemade ice cream and make it available to the employees and people visiting and having tests. So Good's Ice Cream out of Anderson, Ind. brought their kiosk and provided eight different flavors of ice cream. It was a steady line from 11 a.m. to until they closed at 4 p.m. Pat Paul, auxiliary fundraising chairperson, behind the kiosk in auxiliary uniform, said that funds from the sale of the ice cream would go toward the auxiliary project at the hospital.

Most area graduation rates above state average
According to a release from IDOE, Indiana’s state graduation rate came in at 85.7 percent. About 45 percent of high schools met or exceeded the 90 percent mark and 83 percent graduated 80 percent of their seniors or more.
