Extension Homemakers Scholarship deadline approaching
The Floyd County Extension Homemakers Scholarship Program deadline is March 15.
One scholarship for $500 is available for an adult over 21, residing in Floyd County, who has been out of school for one year or more. Two $500 scholarships are available for Floyd County High School seniors.
Contact your school counselor or the Purdue Extension office at 812-948-5470 for an application before the deadline.

Destinations Booksellers hosts political candidates
As part of the Destinations Booksellers’ political candidate Meet and Greet, Republican candidate for U.S. House of Representatives Ninth District Todd Young of Bloomington will meet the public at 7 p.m. March 18 at the store.
Take part in the democratic process by taking time to meet candidates and hearing them first-hand. Other candidates scheduled include Indiana State House District 72 Democrat candidate Shane Gibson appearing at 7 p.m. March 31; Indiana State Senate District 46 Democrat candidate Charles Freiburger at 7 p.m. April 1; and U.S. House Ninth District Democrat candidate Carol Johnson-Smith at 11 a.m. April 3.

FMH Auxiliary Scrubs Sale
Floyd Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will be sponsoring a Scrubs Sale from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. April 5 in the Paris Education Center, 1850 State St., New Albany. The sale will feature uniforms from Scrubs Central, one of the areas leaders in uniform fashions and value. There will be top name brands such as Cherokee, Gray’s Anatomy, Dansko, Dickies, Iguana, S.C.R.U.B.S., Koi, Skechers, Rockers and more. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Auxiliary’s Medical Scholarship Program.
The Sale is open to the public.
