>>SOUTHERN INDIANA — Three vehicles were stolen from an east end storage facility belonging to a New Albany repossession company.
A representative of Gotcha Recovery, located in the 100 block of East 18th Street, said thieves forced their way into the building where the vehicles were stolen sometime over the weekend, according to a New Albany Police Department news release.
The three missing vehicles, a black 2008 Ford Expedition, a blue 2008 Dodge Avenger, and a white 2004 Lexus RX330, were being stored for Liberty Lenders, a financial firm in Bay City, Mich.
The estimated value of the vehicles is more than $100,000, according to the release.
NAPD’s criminal investigation division is continuing to investigate the thefts. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the police department’s crime tip line at 812-948-NAPD.
Burglary reported in New Albany on Monday
A burglary was reported in the 3800 block of Fiske Avenue in New Albany on Monday, according to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department.
According to a crime alert, someone forced entry into a residence through a basement window. No suspect information was available.
