The Kentuckiana Regional Planning and Development Agency is hosting public workshops and input to help update its long-range Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
The public input sessions known as “Connecting Kentuckiana” will provide residents the opportunity to share the challenges they face every day with regard to transportation, according to a KIPDA press release.
Data will be collected by those who provide suggestions, it will be compiled and used to create a set of solutions. Once all of the information is evaluated, it will be presented again giving the public a chance for additional feedback.
The following are the dates for the community workshops, which will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and are an open house format.
May 14 at Goshen Elementary School at Hillcrest, 12518 Ridgemoor Dr., Prospect; and at Middletown Community Center, 11700 Main St.
May 15 at Shively Community Building, 1902 Park Road
May 17 at Oldham County Fiscal Court, 100 W. Jefferson St., LaGrange
May 21 at Highland Hills Middle School, 3492 Edwards Galena Road, Georgetown; and at Louisville Science Center, 727 W. Main St., Louisville
May 24 at St. Matthews City Hall, 3940 Grandview Ave.
May 29 at Iroquois Library, 601 W. Woodlawn Ave., Louisville

KIPDA is also working to schedule workshops in Jeffersonville and near the University of Louisville.
