Single-digit lows expected tonight, Tuesday morning

LOUISVILLE — Temperatures in Southern Indiana are expected to fall into the single digits overnight, some of the coldest weather in the past two years.

Lows Tuesday morning are expected to range between 6 and 10 degrees over South Central Indiana, according to the National Weather Service in Louisville. Northwest winds are expected overnight of between 5 and 15 mph, making wind chill temperatures in Southern Indiana in the -3 to -8 degree range overnight and Tuesday morning.

Tuesday’s high is predicted at 22, with a low of 14 Tuesday night with calmer winds. Highs Wednesday and Thursday should hover around 32 degrees.

A chance of snow, freezing rain and sleet are in the forecast for Thursday night and into Friday.
