Police from multiple agencies were jointly investigating what they believed to be a methamphetamine lab late Friday afternoon, after they were called about 5 p.m. to the 3800 block of Chapel Lane in Floyd County.
Police arrested Josh Cardwell, 21, after leaving a house where unrelated warrants were being served by Floyd County Sheriffs on Cardwell.
Upon searching his backpack, police report they found equipment used to make meth.
Cardwell is being held at the Floyd County Jail.
Indiana State Police were called to examine the possible lab and a K-9 was searching the property when a Tribune reporter went to the scene. At press time, Illinois State Police were sending its Meth response unit to clean up the scene.
