Bodner’s reign coming to an end in Floyd County

STAFF REPORTS

Bea Bodner, the 2008 Floyd County 4-H Fair queen, will be retiring her crown Monday evening.

This past year has been a fun one for Bodner. She has attended many events as the Floyd County 4-H queen. She participated in the Indiana State Fair Pageant and represented Floyd County 4-H in the Harvest Homecoming parade. She also visited local elementary schools to promote the Floyd County 4-H Costume Carnival.

Bodner will be crowning her successor Monday night. Eleven girls will be competing for the crown this year. The girls will be judged on business dress, interview, sports wear and evening wear. Opening ceremonies for the 2009 4H Fair — Living for Today, Planning for the Future, 4-H — will begin at 6 p.m. on the main stage. The event is free to the public.
