The Crawford County Arts and Crafts Association will host their 35th annual Sorghum Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Crawford County Jr.-Sr. High School, Highway 66, Marengo, four miles north of I-64 Exit 92.
There will be a silent auction, freshly made sorghum for sale, food and baked goods; arts and crafts booths, live music including the Crawford County Community Band. Proceeds fund four $500 college scholarships and other school needs.

Most area graduation rates above state average
According to a release from IDOE, Indiana’s state graduation rate came in at 85.7 percent. About 45 percent of high schools met or exceeded the 90 percent mark and 83 percent graduated 80 percent of their seniors or more.
